Beyond Talk Alone
As a Certified Hypnotherapist, Dr. Rieke integrates mindfulness and clinical hypnotherapy for clients who want to go deeper than talk alone.
When Conversation Isn't Quite Enough
Some patterns — chronic stress responses, ingrained habits, deeply rooted fears — don't fully shift through conversation alone. Mindfulness-based approaches build the capacity to notice thoughts, emotions, and body sensations without being swept away by them, while clinical hypnotherapy uses focused relaxation to work with patterns at a deeper level.
How This Track Works
This integrative track can stand on its own or complement traditional talk therapy, depending on what a client is working toward — whether that's calming an overactive nervous system, changing a stubborn habit, or building a more consistent, embodied sense of presence and calm.
What the Research Says
Both mindfulness and clinical hypnosis have a real, if different-sized, evidence base:
- A meta-analysis of 47 randomized controlled trials (3,515 participants) found mindfulness meditation programs produced moderate improvements in anxiety, depression, and pain.JAMA Internal Medicine →
- Gut-directed clinical hypnotherapy has shown strong results for stress-related physical symptoms — in one case series of 1,000 patients, more than 75% who hadn't responded to standard treatment showed a clinical response, with gains that tend to persist long-term.Frontiers in Psychology →
This is a Tier Two integrative service, drawing on Dr. Rieke's specialized certifications beyond standard clinical therapy.
